What is credential verification?
Credential verification is the process of checking whether academic records are authentic, internally consistent, and associated with a recognized institution. TruEnroll performs document forensics alongside extraction, examining indicators such as formatting, watermarks, logos, overlays, signatures, and other potential signs of manipulation. It produces integrity and confidence information that helps reviewers investigate questionable records before making admissions decisions.
How does TruEnroll verify academic documents?
TruEnroll analyzes submitted documents in parallel with data extraction. Its verification capability examines document structure and visual indicators, recognizes the issuing institution, returns accreditation information within the extraction result, and creates an audit-ready fraud-detection report. Potentially altered or low-confidence records are surfaced for reviewer visibility, while extracted information remains linked to its source location on the original document.
Can TruEnroll process international credentials?
Yes. TruEnroll supports domestic and international academic records from more than 190 countries and more than 50 languages, including foreign scripts. Its workflows can evaluate degrees and transcripts, normalize local grading systems, identify course equivalencies, and translate non-English or handwritten records when the translation feature is enabled for the organization. Low-confidence translation fields can be routed for human review.
What information does a credential evaluation include?
A TruEnroll evaluation can return a US-equivalent GPA, recognized credit total, degree equivalency, and course-by-course US equivalency. Multiple degrees or transcripts may be handled under one applicant, with institution- and policy-specific rules for exclusions, repetitions, and unit conversions. The resulting credit breakdowns are designed to be decision-ready, reviewable, and traceable to the original documents.
Can credential verification results connect to our CRM or SIS?
Yes. TruEnroll can route structured evaluation and verification results into documented CRM and SIS workflows, including Slate, Salesforce Education CRM, Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, and Ellucian Banner and Recruit. A Partner API is also available for organizations using another system. API workflows include submitting cases, tracking status, retrieving results, and responding to processing events.
Does TruEnroll support human review?
Yes. Automated processing is designed to identify records and fields that need additional attention rather than hiding uncertainty. Low-confidence extraction or translation fields can be flagged, and document verification results provide integrity and confidence information for reviewers. Source-linked evidence allows staff to inspect the relevant location on the original record and make a documented decision.
How does TruEnroll handle grading-system differences?
The platform applies built-in or custom rules for GPA, percentage, letter-grade, and local grading systems. It can normalize quarter units, CATS, and ECTS according to registrar policy, while applying rules for grade exclusions, course repetitions, and unit conversions. TruEnroll references more than 150 pre-configured global grading systems and supports customization during onboarding.
What support is available after implementation?
Post-launch TruEnroll support includes 24/7 technical support, onboarding assistance, staff training, documentation, and account management. Implementation for higher-education institutions includes dedicated Implementation Engineers and custom CRM layout management. The team can support connected workflows and help institutions establish practical processes for reviewing verification findings, evaluation results, and source evidence.
